Veronika,  The face treatment is fabulous!
You truly brought me back to life today.
The laser that you used to clear my
sinuses also made me look 10 years
younger.   The creases are much less
around the treatment areas. My skin
also feels and looks tighter. It really
boosted my spirits. So not only can I
breathe much better but I look so young!
I should be lying down to enjoy the after
effects of your treatment but I can’t stop
looking in the mirror.   I think you have
something really important in the laser.
Now you’re stuck giving me these
treatments forever.  Thank you so

Juliette Whitney

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can substantially increase the circulation of blood and Qi to your head and improve your complexion noticeably. As we mature, the quantity of Qi and blood to the skin and underlying facial muscles slowly begin to decrease, causing a loss of nourishment, support, color and moisture.

The face having a high number of special acupuncture points at specific areas can be targeted with the insertion of very fine facial needles to increase the flow of blood and Qi throughout the face, thereby plumping up and boosting the skins supply of nutrients and oxygen, thus decreasing the appearance of habitual expressions, stress and sallow complexion. Stress and habitual expressions which are so visible on your face will be transformed, resulting in a remarkably,  less worn expression to greet the world. The overall result will give you a more relaxed, youthful skin glow, bringing out your innate beauty and radiance. It will appear as if you had just come from a very relaxing vacation.

Acupuncture can profoundly affect the regulation of hormones in your body, greatly improve your metabolism, and increase your circulation of blood, lymph and Qi throughout your body enhancing vitality and serenity, while simultaneously treating the underlying factors that contribute to your aging and disease process.

What is the course of treatment?

Generally, it consists of 12 treatments followed by a monthly maintenance visit program.  Each person responds differently, depending on his or her state of health and lifestyle choices.  The acupuncture is supplemented with Facial Laser treatments to improve vasodilation and neovascularisation of local blood and lymph vessels, enhancing the removal of waste products, while improving oxygenation and regeneration to your cells. It is recommended to supplement the Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture with facial massage, skin exfoliation serum treatments, herbal and nutritional supplements, exercise, beauty sleep and a healthy diet.

What is Beauty Sleep?

We have often heard the expression "Beauty Sleep" for a very profound reason.  A healthy, restful night sleep will result in relaxed muscles of your face and body, as well as soothe your nerves, calm your mind  and center your spirit.  Sleep is the time when you rejuvenate your skin and connective tissue. "Beauty Sleep" is a restorative time for regenerating your blood and Qi.

How much sleep do you need?  The answer is, just the right amount for you, too much sleep will leave you sleepy, not enough will leave you exhausted and deplete your adrenals.  One thing we know for sure is that the more we eat, the more sleep we require.  A restful "Beauty Sleep" results from going to bed with a stomach that is not full, preferably finishing dinner 3 hours before going to bed with a clear mind. Always remember that beauty comes from within, irregardless of what methods you choose to use to beautify your body on the outside.  What you thought yesterday, you will live today.  What you think today, you will live tomorrow.  "If you want to experience a life filled with health, beauty, abundance, joy and happiness, then place your intention there to support its manifestation."

In the event you are under a lot of stress and suffering from insomnia this can be eliminated by exercising or physical work throughout the day to support getting out of your head and in touch with your physical self.  At times, insomnia can be due to illness, pain, blood deficiency, internal or deficient heat in the body or hormonal imbalances, herbal supplements can be prescribed to alleviate these causes. A diet which includes a raw food cure for insomnia is fresh lettuce juice or lots of leafy green salads; as lettuce contains soporific compounds and opiates that in the concentration of a juice have a calming, sedative effect.  If following herbal supplements, diet, exercise, warm herbal bath, meditation and stress management does not enhance your "Beauty Sleep," then a diagnostic test for checking your hormones, neurotransmitters and adrenals can be performed.

Manifesting BEAUTY

In essence, beautiful individuals become beautiful because they acquired the habit of thinking in terms of beauty and radiate confidence.  Thoughts of beauty always precede the manifestation of beauty. Beauty of mind, body and spirit can only be kept permanently by those individuals who are persistent enough to shut out disharmony, negative thoughts and confusion. "Everything is an external manifestation of an internal conversation."

If you have a beautiful, loving inner nature, your outer world of life and relationships will be marked by abundance.  So having said that, your image of yourself is your future self.  You live and walk into the picture you hold of yourself.  Your body and face reflect your thoughts, we are all creators, so create who you wish to become.  And as Charles Dickens said, "Cheerfulness and contentment are great beautifiers and are famous preservers of youthfulness."  As there are no magic pills here!
